Time to Talk is a weekly conversation group at our offices in Vestry Hall, Mitcham, to give learners another chance to practise speaking English in informal surroundings. More info below

Conversation Classes

  • Conversation classes at LET cover reading, writing and speaking but in a more conversational way than the formal classes. Classes are suitable for the level of the learners in the class. Learners can also support other learners as Class Reps or through Learner Forums.
  • Conversation classes are run by volunteers who are experienced in English Language.
  • Sometimes external speakers give talks to the group on local issues and services and also day trips and activities are arranged.
  • The main goal is to improve and practice English speaking and gain confidence in a range of topics.

There are three parking bays for Blue Badge holders just outside Vestry Hall.
