Following significant exploration, it was agreed that the name, ‘Merton Home Tutoring Service’ no longer reflected the breadth of service that we offer and that we needed to be clearer about providing English language provision for our learners within the title.
In March 2023, the transition for Merton Home Tutoring Service to become a Charitable Incorporated Organisation (CIO) called Learn English Together in Merton was accepted by the Charity Commission. We use the name of Learn English Together for brevity.
With the Charity Commission approval, we are transferring all of the assets and undertakings of the MHTS charity to Learn English Together and started operating under our new name and legal status from 1 August 2023 (our new financial and academic year).
We have a new Learn English Together in Merton logo and website and continue to redirect traffic sent to our Merton Home Tutoring Service emails. Everything in terms of our governance, staffing structures and service delivery remains the same for our charity.
